ER20 collet system for milling shanks up to 12mm (1/2"). Most powerful universal motor in its class with only 1.8 kilograms total weight at 1400 watts input power. This means almost 40% more power compared to the 1000 watt units. DI stands for direct control option via the controller. There, the speed required for the application can be selected or programmed directly. This reduces noise; the duty cycle can be increased; wear is reduced. Stainless steel motor flange with double bearings for higher milling forces - mounting Ø 43 mm, so-called Eurobund". In addition, the bearings are provided with high-quality seals for perfect protection against dust ingress. Motor, bearings, seals are designed for use at longer duty cycles. Trouble-free cutter change - quick and easy thanks to spindle lock Full-shaft control electronics ensure the same speed even during hard milling work. Speed preselection and soft start are a matter of course with AMB. Motor is insulated for maximum safety against external influences. The electronics are perfectly protected against dust and external influences by complete potting - in comparison, other suppliers often work with unprotected electronics with a shorter service life. Electronic thermal overload protection protects against overheating. Original carbon brushes Made in Germany - with integrated cut-off. This prevents the collector from being damaged when the carbon is worn out. Additional silicone cushions between carbon and contact spring ensure long service life due to vibration damping. Versatile application possibilities - for mounting in e.g.: CNC gantries (routers), routers, milling fixtures, drill stands,... ER20 collet mount meets industry standards and is available everywhere in the world. Exceptionally slim design for the smallest possible installation space. The original Kress power cable module is technically unrivaled and makes it possible to change devices directly at the machine. The power supply does not have to be changed at the source (socket). It couldn't be simpler. This also allows several devices to be supplied with only "one" cable during changeover."

F: With which signal is the speed adjusted? A: with a 0-10V DC signal.
F: How does the spindle behave at 0V control voltage? A: At 0V the spindle stands still, from about 1-9V the speed runs from minimum to maximum value, from 9-10V the spindle runs at maximum speed.
F: At 0V the spindle stands still, from about 1-9V the speed runs from minimum to maximum value, from 9-10V the spindle runs at maximum speed.
F: Why is an additional power supply needed for the speed adjustment? A: In contrast to many tinkering solutions for speed adjustment which one finds in the net, we work with a galvanically separated optocoupler with the signal exchange. In the event of damage to the portal control or the speed electronics of the milling motor, this ensures that mains voltage is applied via the signal line. The signal side is therefore completely separated from the power electronics. Therefore, this must be supplied separately with voltage.
F: What is the current consumption at the supply voltage 10...29V DC? A: The power supply unit for the power supply must be able to supply at least 40 mA DC.
F: What is the input resistance of the control input 0-10V? A: This is about 36 kOhm.
F: Can I use cutters with stepped shank? A: we recommend using offset cutters that exceed the maximum collet size only with caution. The milling forces on large face milling cutters (>30mm) become very large very quickly.
